Guideline for Human Rights Management

In order to comply with International Human Rights Standards such as respect for human rights, prohibitions against  discrimination, compulsory labor, and child labor,
and the upholding of freedom of association,
Dongbu Corporation is doing its best to protect the human rights of all stakeholders of our company,
including local communities as well as employees of Dongbu Corporation and partners.

  • Complying with human rights international standards and regulations
    - We observe international standards and regulations which support and promote the importance of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption.
  • Prohibition on discrimination
    - We prohibit all types of discrimination specified in the National Human Rights Commission of Korea Act, such as on the basis of gender, age, race, politics, religion, region of origin, and academic background, and provide working environments characterized by respect and consideration.
  • Guarantee of freedom of association
    - We guarantee freedom of association and collective bargaining to improve the human rights of employees of Dongbu Corporation and partners, and to enhance welfare.

    - In order to realize human dignity and importance of all stakeholders related to the company, we respect the human rights of all stakeholders related to business activities such as partners, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Supporting reasonable investment judgment
    - We respect fair requirements and requests from shareholders and investors and regard trust as a value of priority. Moreover, by providing transparent management information, we support the reasonable and rational investment judgments of shareholders and investors.

Dongbu Corporation has put in place measures and processes to prohibit behaviors threatening the happy work lives of all employees,
such as workplace bullying and sexual harassment, and is creating an environment to protect human rights.

  • · Investigations on reports are proceeded with in private and the personal information
    of reporters is protected perfectly.
  • · After investigations, corrective measures are immediately conducted, or referral to
    personnel committee is proceeded with, depending on the agenda.
